Today’s Tip: Identify plant varieties with garden apps
It’s gardening season. And that means many are on the lookout for interesting new plants to put in their yards. What is the name of that lovely purple flower you always see on your favorite walk? Or the shrub with the delicate white blooms? Now, it’s easier than ever to identify your plant sightings. The Denver Post recommends using Bing and Google free mobile phone and tablet apps. Gardeners simply photograph the plant in question, upload the photo to the app; the app will then identify the plant and similar varieties.
