DENVER – Broker Associates and support personnel with RE/MAX of Cherry Creek recently braved frigid weather to help children during the company’s annual Holiday Client Appreciation Party held December 4th at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Despite the artic temperatures, a good turnout of clients and their families helped collect more than 50 new toys for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), the primary fundraising arm for The Children’s Hospital. In addition, leftover food from the event was donated to the Urban Peak Homeless Shelter, which was greatly appreciated at a time when area shelters were overflowing due to extreme weather conditions.
“It was amazing how many of our agents, clients and their families turned out for our annual charity event at the Denver Botanic Gardens,” said Marcy Eastman, Broker Associate and co-owner of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek. “We tried to change the date due to weather conditions, but that was not an option, so the show went on. I’m proud of those who bundled up to help the less fortunate and we look forward to next year when we can hopefully surpass previous goals during a more comfortable evening.”
The annual client appreciation party featured a dazzling display of colorful lights throughout the Botanic Gardens as part of its annual “Blossoms of Light” display, in addition to light snacks and hot chocolate in a festive albeit chilly holiday environment. Toys raised for CMN included such items as portable DVD players, video games, and water color paints. Gift cards for various retail stores, movie theaters, restaurants, and hobby shops were also collected.
