About Virginia Village
Denver’s premier mid-century modern and ranch-style homes neighborhood was built in the 1950’s and is centrally located in the heart of the city, just a short jaunt from the Colorado Boulevard and I-25 light rail station with transport downtown or to the Tech Center.
Virginia Village is one of southeast Denver’s oldest neighborhoods and is characterized by a collection of modestly sized, ranch-style houses on large lots with a handful of low-rise condos along its northern perimeter. Residents enjoy walking and bicycling on the extensive Cherry Creek Trail, playing in nearby Ash Grove, Cook and Garland parks, and walking to a multitude of elementary and middle schools school. The neighborhood also boasts quick access to the private swim club Virginia Vale, the Glendale rec center, large convenience stores such as Home Depot, grocery stores, and is home to at least two of Denver’s oldest family-owned restaurants, Zaidy’s Café, and the Bull and Bush.
If you are looking for a mid-mod home, don’t miss this neighborhood and take special note of the Krisana Park where 174 homes were built from 1954 – 1955 and protected as a mid-mod historic district.
