When it comes to fast-selling properties, Littleton’s zip code 80122 ranks among the top ten in the country, according to Realtor.com.

Realtor.com studied zip codes across the U.S., taking into account how quickly properties are snapped up by buyers and how frequently consumers view home listings. All ten ranking zip codes had a housing supply and demand about five times stronger than the rest of the country, homes that sell four to nine times faster than the national average, and a median household income of $71,000 — 32% higher than the national average of $54,000.

“Each locale on this list is emblematic of the key trends driving housing this year —healthy local economics, job opportunities and affordability,” said Jonathan Smoke, Realtor.com’s chief economist.

Among the other zip codes ranking in the top ten: Carlsbad, CA (92010); Austin, TX (78729); San Antonio, TX (78247); St. Louis, MO (63126); Columbus, OH (43085); and Melrose, MA (02176).

Meanwhile, in another recent study, Zillow predicted that Denver will be the hottest housing market in the country in 2016. To create its top ten list, Zillow analyzed home value appreciation, low unemployment rates and strong income growth.

“As the job market continues to hum and opportunity becomes more widespread, the best housing markets are no longer limited to the coasts or one-industry tech towns,” said Zillow Chief Economist Dr. Svenja Gudell. “This year’s hottest markets have something for everyone, whether they’re looking for somewhere to raise a family or start a career.

Other cities in the top ten: Seattle, WA; Dallas-Fort-Worth, TX; Richmond, VA; Boise, Idaho; Ogden, UT; Omaha, NE; Sacramento, CA; Portland, OR.
