DENVER – Heather J. Bustos, an accomplished real estate professional and executive manager, has been named President and Employing Broker of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek in Denver. Bustos brings a wealth of high profile experience to her new position, including 25 years of experience in residential real estate and more than 15 years of executive management experience. She is known for her national and international real estate expertise and knowledge including affiliated businesses such as mortgage, title and insurance entities, in addition to corporate relocation and the luxury property segments of the real estate industry.
Bustos started her real estate career in 1992 and has worked in sales and management for many of Colorado’s top brokerages. She successfully orchestrated the sale and transition of Fuller Towne & Country Properties to Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty. As President and COO, Bustos was responsible for five offices and nearly 200 full-time brokers and staff producing $1 billion in annual real estate sales volume.
Bustos has served as the Senior Vice President of the Washington, D.C. Region for The Long & Foster Companies. In this role, Bustos was responsible for the strategic planning and management of 13 offices with 750 agents producing more than $2.5 billion in annual sales. Most recently, she was Vice President at PorchLight Real Estate Group where she helped attain affiliation with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a global community of more than 500 high quality independent real estate companies in more than 50 countries producing more than $234 billion in annual sales. Bustos also built the company’s relocation department and worked extensively with helping PorchLight create its platform to work with real estate developers to help market their residential developments throughout metro Denver. She also worked on PorchLight’s luxury platform and was engaged as a strategic business coach.
Bustos has been a member of the Young Presidents Organization and served as chair of the Colorado Chapter as well as the Area Chair for the group’s REX. She has served on the Forms Committee for the Colorado Division of Real Estate and as a Director for Metrolist through the Denver Metro Association of Realtors (DMAR). Bustos was awarded Manager of the Year honors from the Denver Board of Realtors in 2007 and is currently a member of DMAR, the Colorado Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.
Bustos graduated Cum Laude from Regis University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. A Colorado native, she enjoys road biking, golfing, snow and water skiing, and she is an avid scuba diver and traveler.
