RE/MAX of Cherry Creek to Host Cycling Event During Vail Retreat to Benefit Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver DENVER – Dedicated Broker Associates and support personnel with RE/MAX of Cherry Creek will be hosting a special “Built for Need Bicycle Challenge” event to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Denver during the leading real estate company’s annual retreat in Vail on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Nearly 60 real estate professionals and co-owners of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek will be assembling children’s bicycles and tricycles prior to racing them at Mountain Plaza in Vail from 1-4 p.m. on September 21st. The bicycles and tricycles will subsequently be donated to the Boys and Girls Club. The multi-stage bike race is also designed to be a “team building” event for participants, which is chaired by Paula Brinton, a leading Broker Associate and co-owner of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek. “Immediately after the races, we will hold a ceremony with representatives from the Boys and Girls Club and donate all the bicycles and tricycles,” said Brinton. “We will have approximately eight teams comprised of seven agents each. Our deadline for sponsorships is September 7th, so please contact me right away. To date, we have several clients, lenders, inspectors, home warranty companies, title companies, colleagues and more participating as sponsors, but would certainly welcome more so we can have more teams. This is a very fun event for participants and spectators alike as grown men and women attempt to navigate various racing venues on small children’s bikes and tricycles.” Upon arrival at the event, participants are assigned to a team and learn the rules. They can color coordinate with clothing and accessories, name their team, and even create a team salutation. Designed for hearty laughs and lasting memories, the “Built for Need” bicycle challenge participants are provided with wrenches, screwdrivers, and other tools to assemble the bicycles, which are inspected for safety before the fun begins. The race venues are customized specifically for the Vail event, and the winning team will be crowned and receive the ultimate prize. The bicycles and tricycles provide an opportunity to help individuals and families lead healthier lifestyles and contribute to their communities. For many of the children who receive the donations, it will be the first bike they have ever owned. The impact is exceptional.
