As September comes to a close, fall is in the air, the leaves are changing, and Denver is again hosting a wide range of fantastic events. Check out our WEEKEND HAPPENINGS, and as always, let us know if you have anything special to add each week!
Saturday 9/27
Brunch is definitely the best meal of the day when it comes to weekends, so start the weekend off right with the Egg-in-a-Hole Brunch at Growhaus. With the ticket cost of $50 (kids are free) you get an amazing array of delights! They are offering bottomless mimosas, and to soak it all up there will be finger foods, a pancake bar, buttermilk & cheddar biscuits, breakfast stratas, and unique spins on meat and potatoes. The restaurants involved are Snooze, Vesta, Beast & Bottle, Lou’s Food Bar, and Session Kitchen, so don’t miss out on all of this delicious food, and feel good knowing that the cost goes toward the Grow Haus’s Community Tool Lending Library – all for a great cause! Check out their site here for tickets and more info.
If you haven’t had enough great food at this point, head to the 4th anniversary of Hops & Pie on Tennyson Street. They are celebrating with bands, beer, raffles, games, and of course great pizza. Stop by and help them celebrate! It all begins at noon and continues until they close.
Sunday 9/28
The Park Hill Home Tour is here! Purchase your tickets in advance or on the day ($15 for aduts, $10 for seniors, $5 for children 6-12) and head to this beautiful neighborhood for a wonderful day of live music, a street fair with local businesses , food trucks and kids entertainment, and the home tour that showcases the area’s diverse, historic architecture. This event is definitely a favorite, so be sure to stop by! View their website for more information.
And if you hadn’t heard, it’s Oktoberfest time! If celebrating this beer-heavy holiday is more your bag, head to Denver’s annual Oktoberfest that takes over downtown. It runs all weekend from Friday through Sunday, so you can find the time that suits you best and head down, grab a stein and a brat, and enjoy! Check out the schedule on their website here and be sure to catch events like the bratwurst eating contest and the dog derby.
