It’s Labor Day weekend! It’s the best time of year to celebrate with a long weekend and enjoy that last hurrah before mentally accepting that the summer is over. (And we all know the temps won’t start seriously dropping for a while anyway) Denver is a fabulous place to take advantage of this holiday weekend, and we’ve highlighted below some of our top picks for the weekend. So to everyone, Happy Labor Day! And go out and have some fun!
Pints in the Park in Louisville
On Saturday the 30th from 12-4PM, come to Community Park in Louisville and join in on their inaugural Pints in the Park, honoring what us Coloradans love best: BEER. And it will be great beer – from Gravity Brewing, Oskar Blues, Upslope, and more. Entry is $25 ($30 at the door, and free for designated drivers) and gets you all of the samples you want, a souvenir pint glass, and a goodie bag. Check out Beer Chow’s pairing recommendations, including the genius pairing of bundt cake with pumpkin beer. YUM!

Mile High Arts & Jazz
Skyline Park (at 16th and Arapahoe) will be the perfect place to soak in art and music over the weekend at the Mile High Arts & Jazz festival. From 10AM-8PM on Saturday and 10AM-5PM on Sunday, you can browse the attending artists and craftsmen while enjoying the soothing sounds of live jazz. Also on hand will be food trucks, so you can make it a day by taking a break from the vendors and noshing on lunch in the large grassy area nearby. Sounds like a perfect day outdoors, if you ask us! A Taste of Colorado
Taking place over the entire weekend, A Taste of Colorado brings over 50 food establishments together, along with marketplace artisans and vendors, entertainment, and education programs…all free to you! We’d recommend saving up your appetite beforehand to make sure you can fit everything in. Restaurants will be featuring small portions to full meals, so you could eat your way through the festival the entire weekend. Don’t miss awesome music, including En Vogue, The Wallflowers, The Commodores and Creedence Clearwater Revisited! It should be an amazing festival, fitting for kiddos as well who can enjoy the designated KidZone. Learn all of the details here.
