We’re right in the thick of the holiday season! Lights are up, holiday music is playing, and people are celebrating and getting into the spirit. For many of us, we are now in the final weeks of Christmas shopping for family and friends. Those lucky people who have already gotten their Christmas shopping done are sitting back and feeling relieved with that big check mark off their list. But for the rest of us – procrastinators like me – this daunting task stays in the back of your mind, reminding you that you are behind and the clock is ticking! Well, thankfully, our great city is on your side and is providing plenty of opportunities to get your holiday shopping done efficiently. This weekend is no exception, with special markets and shops open for all of us to find that perfect something. We’ve outlined below some places you can spend your money this weekend.
The 14th Annual Christkindl Market is taking place at Skyline Park (16th Street Mall and Arapahoe Street). It brings the magical feel of a German Christmas Market to downtown Denver, and you can buy all types of crafts. The hours on weekends are Saturday from 11AM-9PM and Sunday from 11AM-7PM. It is also open during the week, too. Check out their website for more information.
The Denver Handmade Homemade Holiday Market takes place this weekend from 1-7PM both Saturday and Sunday. At the Denver Art Society at 734 Santa Fe, you can enjoy live music, a vegan food buffet, a clothing swap, and more. Come support these local craft-makers and take part in all of the unique activities that are happening! View more details on their website.
The Horseshoe Market is back! Since 2010 it has been your one-stop destination for handmade, vintage and art. This holiday market takes place from 10-5PM Saturday and Sunday at the Masonic Temple on Federal (3550 Federal Blvd). With local vendors like be hippy, Helliemae’s, and Margo Belle Designs, you are sure to find something for everyone on your list. Check out more on their website.
