The Real Brokerage Inc. and RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. announced this week that Real will acquire RE/MAX Holdings to create a real estate platform named Real REMAX Group. So what does all of it mean?
Is REMAX leaving Denver and Colorado?
The Real REMAX Group will be headquartered in Miami but significant operations will remain in the Denver area. And to clarify, as an independently owned brokerage, REMAX of Cherry Creek has always operated separately from headquarters, and we aren’t going anywhere. Your RMCC agent will still be here in Denver as your local resource.
Will the REMAX brand go away?
Nope – the powerful global REMAX brand is here to stay. The two companies are combining to form a global real estate platform named Real REMAX Group. No need to learn new names or branding. RMCC’s 45 year legacy, history and personality will remain the same.
How will this affect me (and my agent)?
Rest assured that things aren’t changing. Business is operating as usual, our practices remain the same, and once everything settles, our RMCC agents will gain access to Real’s robust integrated technology platform, enhancing our existing business.
Why is this happening?
Leaders at REMAX and Real saw the opportunity to grow, bringing together passionate and innovative leadership and building upon an existing powerhouse network of global agents. We are excited about how this will ultimately provide more growth, technology and innovation to RMCC.
When is the change happening?
The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026. We will keep you informed about the process as we have updates. And if you have questions now – or in the future – please reach out! We believe in transparency and keeping our clients in-the-know every step of the way, so we are always happy to chat.
