RE/MAX of Cherry Creek Supports Urban Peak Nonprofit Assisting Homeless Youth during Thanksgiving Donation Drive
Caring Brokers and Staff Collect Variety of Clothing Items and Gift Cards on Special “Needs List”

DENVER – RE/MAX of Cherry Creek, one of the top producing single-office RE/MAX franchises in the country, has once again helped the Urban Peak nonprofit organization benefiting homeless youth or those at imminent risk of becoming homeless in the Denver area. Caring brokers and staff members collected donations and items from a “needs list” during the November drive. Donations were delivered to the Urban Peak office on Wednesday, November 22nd.

Jessy Bergeman, Manager of Volunteers and Corporate Engagement in-Kind Donations and volunteer Opportunities, was a special guest speaker at the RE/MAX of Cherry Creek office. Bergeman spoke about Urban Creek’s various programs that assist the homeless, the volume the charity sees on a daily basis, how donations are vital to Urban Creek’s success, and how donations are distributed.

“RE/MAX of Cherry Creek supports Urban Peak on multiple occasions during each year, and we look forward to continuing our relationship with this very worthwhile charity,” said Heather J. Bustos, President and Employing Broker at RE/MAX of Cherry Creek. “Urban Peak is the only nonprofit organization in Denver that provides a full convergence of services to homeless youth. The charity’s goal is to help the youth overcome real life challenges and become self-sufficient adults. We are proud to be a contributor.”

Founded in 1988, Urban Peak provides five essential services at little or no cost to the youth, including an overnight shelter, a daytime drop-in center, street outreach, an education and employment program, and supportive housing. Urban Peak’s programs and services are founded on the principles of trauma-informed care and positive youth development that assist youth in reaching their potential of living a successful life off the streets.
