Today’s tip: Killing unwanted grass
Every summer, the fight between man and nature ramps up. And the battle to control grass and weeds that pop up through cracks in the driveway, between pavers on patios and other spots is more often lost than won. This year, arm yourself with our simple tip: Mix one gallon of white vinegar with 1 cup of table salt and 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap. Mix thoroughly. Pour into a plastic spray bottle and coat the grass and weeds with the mixture on a dry, hot, windless day. This should rid you of the problem. Be sure to avoid any spots where you want to plant things in the future, as the salt will ruin the soil for future growth.
