Put aside the pumpkin pie…and try these ideas for s’mores
It may be the season of pumpkin pies and cranberry sauce, but admit it, is it ever the wrong time for a perfect s’more?
For those who have never been to summer camp, s’mores are graham cracker sandwiches filled with melted Hersey’s chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
We recently ran across some new ideas for this old standard in the New York Times that we couldn’t resist sharing. Here are some delicious twists on the dessert that will have you wanting s’more!
+ Use chocolate with nuts.
+ Use chocolate sprinkled with sea salt.
+ Spread Nutella onto the graham cracker instead of Hershey’s chocolate for more consistency.
+ Add a touch of salt by using saltines or Ritz crackers instead of graham crackers. “And for real salt fiends” notes the Times, try a ruffled potato chip.
+ Use thin Rice Krispies Treats instead of graham crackers.
