Name: Panda Bear
Owner: Megan Duffy
How’d you come up with the name? I gave him the name Panda Bear because he is black and white….like a panda bear – super creative, I know 🙂 !!
Nicknames: Half Pint, Beast, Bug-bug, Puffin, Little Man
Breed: Pomeranian/Papillon mix
Gender: Male
Age: 11
Favorite toys: A stuffed alpaca that squeaks. When he knows it’s time to eat, he will fling it around the house while he spins and growls.
Likes: Car rides, his Christmas sweater, dog ice cream, being held/pet/cuddled/carried
Dislikes: Gas stations, beaches, broccoli, being wet, being fed late – I swear he can tell time
Most happy when: He is eating meat.
Can Panda Bear do any tricks? He can stand up on his hind legs for a long time when I’m holding the right treat!
What’s his favorite food? Rotisserie chicken, he goes bonkers and will sit in front of the fridge barking if he knows it’s in there.
How would you describe his personality? Super sweet and loving, but totally neurotic and high maintenance.
What’s your favorite part about Panda Bear? He is the most gentle dog I know and he is easy to take places. Panda has been on over a dozen airplane rides and is always a hit with the flight attendants.
What’s the naughtiest thing he has ever done? One day on a hike, he wandered off and would not come when called. This was because he had found a dead fish to roll around in, and was busy covering himself in dead fish scales. He looked so happy and thought he was having the best day ever, until bathtime.
What is his favorite spot in your home? Under the bed
What’s the funniest memory you have with Panda Bear? The first time Panda had his hair cut short, I laughed when I picked him up – his long fur was gone, he was half his normal size and he looked like a kitten! Google Photos even mistook him for a cat.
What’s your favorite thing to do with him? We love going to dog-friendly breweries, especially in the summertime.
What is your go-to neighborhood for walks? Downtown Littleton, however Panda hates walks and really this is our go-to neighborhood for him being carried.
What’s the most rewarding part about being a pet owner? Endless fun, and unconditional love.
