Name: Lucy

How’d you come up with her name? We spontaneously went to the shelter and got her and our other dog together at the same time, so we had to act quickly with naming them and just loved the name Lucy for a dog.

Nicknames: Goo Goo, Gooper, Gooey

Breed: A true mutt. We were told when we adopted her she was a lab/whippet, but we see pit bull, beagle, and many other breeds in there!

Gender: Female

Age: 14 years

Favorite toys:  Any bone she can chew on. We used to try giving her soft toys but she would destroy them in minutes.

Likes: Begging for food, going for walks, camping trips, hanging out with her family.

Dislikes: While she’s overall anxious and high maintenance in so many ways, for some reason I can’t think of anything she truly dislikes!

Most happy when: Hanging out with her family. She’s always been so devoted to us and our family unit, even the kids when they were born.

What is their favorite spot in your home? Sleeping on her bed or on the hardwood floors.

What’s Lucy’s favorite food? Interestingly, it’s broccoli (only if it’s roasted though)

How would you describe her personality? Fully anxious most all of the time (when we adopted her she had been found on the streets just having had puppies), which I think is just what she’s used to being as a constant mood, but when she is relaxed she is such a sweetheart and lover.

What’s the most rewarding part about being a pet owner? Feeling such a strong bond and loyalty from pets. You know they are always there for you and always so excited to see you!
