Soundtrack of Summer: Spotlight on Levitt Pavilion

Tucked into Ruby Hill Park on the city’s southwest side, Levitt Pavilion Denver is one of those rare finds that feels both under-the-radar and wildly beloved. This nonprofit, outdoor amphitheater was built with a simple mission: bring people together through music—and make it accessible to everyone.

And that accessibility is real. Each summer, Levitt hosts 50+ concerts and community events, the majority of them completely free and open to all ages. The season kicks off in May and runs into early October, offering a steady cadence of live music all summer long. From local favorites to national touring acts, the lineup spans genres (think rock, Latin, jazz, blues, country, and more), so there’s always something new to discover.

For 2026, the first wave of shows includes both returning crowd-pleasers and fresh names, with most of the concerts already announced and more typically added throughout the season. The vibe is refreshingly laid-back: bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and settle into the open lawn while the sun sets behind the stage. Food vendors, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a 6,500-capacity outdoor setting make it feel like a mini festival…without the price tag.

Beyond concerts, Levitt also hosts community-driven programming and occasional ticketed shows, but the free summer series is undeniably the star. It’s one of the easiest (and most enjoyable!) ways to tap into Denver’s music scene.

Plus, there are plenty of spots to stop for a bite prior to a show or event at Levitt. Somebody People, Joy Hill, Adelitas Cocina, and GB Fish & Chips are all located along the South Broadway stretch near Ruby Hill.
