It’s no secret that a Denver Public Library card is one of the best deals around. It offers you free, endless reading enjoyment—not to mention a carte blanche of research materials and guidance from librarians, who are always eager to help.

But that’s not all you can get with a flash of your card. The library has a host of other offerings that aren’t widely publicized, freebies you likely never imagined.

Axios Denver lists the following items available for checkout:

  • Chromebook laptop and mobile WiFi hotspot, for up to three months.
  • GoPro Hero 3 camera, for up to a week.
  • Bicycle repair kits for two hours to help fix a flat or make adjustments.
  • Free passes to visit Colorado state parks, city museums and cultural centers, including Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Westminster’s Butterfly Pavilion and the Clyfford Still Museum.
  • Power tools, ladders, and lawnmowers.
  • Sewing machines (at the Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales location), for up to four weeks.
  • Draft check meter (to find air leaks in walls, ductwork, etc.), for up to three weeks.
  • Indoor air quality monitors, for up to three weeks.

For more information, visit your local Denver library branch.
