Janet Claxton of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek Recognized with Prestigious NAR Realtor Emeritus Award
Coveted Award Recognizes Realtors Who Have a Cumulative Period of 40 Years as a Member of the National Association of Realtors
DENVER – Janet Claxton, a top producing Broker Associate and co-owner of RE/MAX of Cherry Creek in Denver, has been honored with the prestigious NAR Realtor Emeritus Award recognizing Realtors who have a cumulative period of 40 years as a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
A Realtor Emeritus candidate member must also have completed at least one year of service at the national, state or local association level. The award was presented to Claxton on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Denver headquarters of the Denver Metro Association of Realtors (DMAR). Upon approval of an application for the Realtor Emeritus award by the directors of NAR, no further payment of dues to the NAR is necessary. The Colorado Association of Realtors has also granted Claxton with the “no dues” status, in addition to awarding her a plaque and Emeritus pin.
Claxton, who joined the RE/MAX system in 1980 and transferred to RE/MAX of Cherry Creek in 1988, has served three generations of home buyers and sellers. She is a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and the DMAR Million Dollar Roundtable recognizing superior performance throughout her distinguished career. Claxton is also a Certified Negotiation Expert recognizing the successful completion of stringent continuing education courses in real estate.
Claxton earned her real estate license in 1975 and serves the diverse real estate needs of home buyers and sellers throughout Denver, Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Westminster and Thornton. Prior to pursuing a career in real estate, she worked in the cost accounting business. Claxton is known for her dedication to superior customer service and her ability to provide clients with a seamless, rewarding real estate experience.
Claxton is an active supporter of her church, the Children’s Miracle Network, and the Salvation Army. She enjoys western art, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
