RE/MAX of Cherry Creek Collects Gifts for the Homeless
During Holiday Gift Market
DENVER – RE/MAX of Cherry Creek and its generous real estate professionals, clients and friends recently gathered gifts for homeless families during the company’s Holiday Gift Market held Thursday, November 19th at the RE/MAX of Cherry Creek office in Denver. The event was held on behalf of The Gathering Place, a refuge for rebuilding lives.
The Holiday Gift Market offered holiday shopping by local artisans and national name brand vendors, free gift-wrapping, and delicious complimentary food and drink while attendees shopped for the holidays and helped the homeless. RE/MAX of Cherry Creek also offered holiday photos for the entire family. Participants brought Target gift cards and new unwrapped toys that were wrapped and placed under the Christmas tree to help 100 homeless families served by The Gathering Place.
The Gathering Place exists to support women and their children who are experiencing homelessness or poverty by providing a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency. The Gathering Place is Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women and children. The organization’s emergency support services provide immediate relief to women and children in distress. Women who are able to meet their immediate and urgent needs can then collect their inner resources and make positive life changes for themselves and their children.
