Almost anywhere you go in Denver, you will encounter people riding their bicycles. Mountain bikes, road bikes, and even a few unicycles, our city has fully embraced this mode of transportation both as a way to get from Point A to Point B, and also as a way to explore our neighborhoods and enjoy a ride outside on a beautiful day. In a city where B-Cycles are conveniently stationed around town and available to rent for a minimal fee, it’s hard not to join the trend – who isn’t inspired to save some gas money, cut down on your carbon footprint, and also get some exercise?
When choosing where to head on your bike in our bustling city, you don’t have to expect to inhale car fumes or get side swiped by a driver with road rage. There are plenty of trails and streets around Denver that allow you to experience a less congested view of the city. From the Highline Canal to some lesser known bike-friendly streets like West 20th Avenue, there are plenty of options for Denverites to get out and pedal around.
