It’s the holiday season. So why go to your regular bar when you can head to one that knows how to celebrate the season in style?
You’ll find Christmas is just a cocktail away at these four local bars, decked out from top to bottom for the holiday and recommended by Eater, Vox Media’s food website:
Miracle at Avanti Wolf Bar: You’ll have to wait in line to get inside, but that’s because it’s just that good. Here, you’ll find “a decked-out covered patio on Avanti’s upper level…(with) wall-to-wall photo ops and kitschy warming drink specials,” notes Eater. 3200 N. Pecos St.
Cooper Lounge: “Picture every holiday movie that has ever filmed in a transit center,” reports Eater, “and you’ll have Union Station around Christmas.” In this spot, which is stunning any time of the year, you’ll find holiday spirit galore, including a decorated tree, lights, and more – all viewed best from the Cooper Lounge, located upstairs. 1701 Wynkoop St.
Snowdrift at Adrift: The Snowdrift is normally a tiki bar. But this time of year, tiki takes on a new twist “with Santa hats topping totems and an igloo surrounding the beach bar.” In other words, it’s a hot spot for some cold season comfort. 218 S. Broadway.
Bar Helix: For the month of December, patrons can order any of the “12 Negronis of Christmas.” Try them all and you might be eligible for a prize “in the form of bottled cocktails and gift cards.” Too overwhelming of a task? Ask for the “baby Negroni” tasting option. 3440 Larimer St.
